Centre for Medieval Studies "GG Meersseman"

The Centre for Medieval Studies "Meersseman DD" was born in 2000 in early July, by scholars of the Middle Ages, from Vicenza.
The association, according to the statutory wording "... seeks to renew the knowledge of medieval civilization at local and general through the promotion of original research and enhance the legacy of that age, especially the cultural and artistic traditions . Particular attention ... the association puts a hand in working the continuing competence of its members, the other to welcome, encourage and guide the young graduates and graduates with a research and rigorous quality. " On a practical level it is proposed to assist its members in improving research already undertaken and to plan new areas of business, to publish studies, records, documentary sources, to organize public lectures, conferences and exhibitions, provide research and every possible support to public or private entities with regard to historical studies, restoration of artifacts and actions for the recovery of archaeological relics and place names of the Middle Ages.
The members are people of all ages and from different disciplines, united by love of the Middle Ages and by a sincere desire for collaboration. The association has prospects for expansion beyond the horizon of Vicenza, but for now seeks only to consolidate and welcomes new members very carefully. He holds monthly meetings (almost) excellent companies. The

The fellowship, sharing this view and considering the primary and essential relationship of true friendship among members in order to study activity profitable, fair and strict at the same time, has adopted the motto that il Meersseman prediligeva: “In dulcedine caritatis quaerite veritatem”.
